AMT – air in motion.
The Air Motion Transformer (AMT) folds the air through its pleated diaphragm – the resulting airflow is four times faster than the motion of the individual folds. Conventional drivers, by contrast, move the air at a mere 1:1 ratio. This enables precise reproduction even of high-frequency signals and fast transients – cymbals and fine overtones are rendered cleanly and with rich detail. With two AMTs – one at the front and one at the rear – the Dual AMT Super Tweeter also delivers unparalleled spaciousness and a wider soundstage.

Integration could not be easier: the Dual AMT Super Tweeter connects directly to the speaker terminals of your main speakers – together with the cables coming from your system (see adjacent image). Banana plugs, spade connectors or bare wire fit securely into the gold-plated terminals, ensuring a flawless signal transmission at all times.

And the impedance? No cause for concern: Since the Super Tweeter features its own crossover network and, due to its high-pass filtering, only operates in the treble range, your system receives no significant additional load – the connection is completely unproblematic.

Fine-tuning to your taste.
With the rotary control on the rear, you activate the Super Tweeter from one of five crossover frequencies – 8, 10, 12, 14 or 16 kHz – or switch it off completely. This lets you deliberately overlap your existing tweeter and brighten the sound from 8 or 10 kHz, or fill a gap above 14 or 16 kHz. A second rotary control allows level adjustment in six steps from 0 to -5 dB, so the treble can be optimally matched to your room and personal taste – for a seamlessly integrated listening experience in any environment.
Our tip to get started: For maximum effect, begin with the settings 0 dB and 8 kHz, then adjust to your needs and personal taste.
Which Super Tweeter is right for you?
What matters is the sensitivity of your speakers: with its 96 dB sensitivity, the Dual AMT is an ideal match for speakers rated 88 to 91 dB. This lets you integrate it with its settings seamlessly and coherently into the overall sound image.
If the sensitivity of your main speakers is above 91 dB, the Super Tweeter will play too quietly in relation to them – it becomes inaudible and offers no sonic benefit.
With increasing age, the hearing threshold for high frequencies declines. Use the adjacent video to test which frequencies you can still hear: to achieve a noticeable effect, you should still be able to clearly perceive the tones at 10–12 kHz. If your hearing threshold lies below this, unfortunately no benefit can be expected.
